Teaching Dossiers
I have been fortunate to work with several faculty on their third year reviews, which include a teaching dossier. So, I thought sharing this recently published Teaching Dossiers guide. From the authors, "the document is based on a compilation of current scholarship and open access resources using a literature-informed framework for developing teaching expertise."
The authors share that "a dossier highlights the teaching practices you implement that align with the key claims made in your teaching philosophy, and provides strong evidence of the impact of these teaching strategies and approaches on student learning. A teaching dossier should be presented as an organized, integrated and cohesive document that provides a reflective narrative of your teaching experience."
The article includes a Conceptualization of a framework for the development of teaching expertise, which include Teaching and Supporting Learning; Professional Learning and Development; Mentorship; Research, Scholarship & Inquiry; and Educational Leadership.
